Water Monitor

1. Description

These water tanks are used to re-fill the portable toilets on the lake and at the Salt Bush Camp.

To volunteer for this job use the Volunteer Register.

 

2. Responsibility

You are responsible for keeping these water tanks full for "Kenny" who will be emptying the portable toilets of waste and re-filling with fresh water.

 

3. Duties

 

3.1 Volunteer Instructions

On the day of your duty, you report direct to Event Coordinator.

Make sure you sign the Volunteers Book next to your name.

The morning session is from 7.30am to about 12.00 noon, (pick up your DLRA UHF radio from the Registration Caravan).

The afternoon session starts at about 1.00pm till 6.00pm or close of business on that day. (Return the DLRA UHF radio to the Registration Caravan).

You must be ready to start your shift at these times.

Make sure you have a hat, sunglasses, sun cream, snacks. Water is provided from the esky at the Registration Van and there are portable toilets through out the pits.

4. Tasks

4.1 Set Up

At the beginning of Speed Week collect 1000 litre tanks from the shearing shed and the water pump from the fuel container at the DLRA camp. Fill from the water tanks behind the shearing sheds

 

4.2 During the event

The tanks will probably only need to be filled once each day. You need to talk to they guys with the vacuum tank to see when they want the tanks filled

 

4.3 Pack Up

At the conclusion of Speed Week all equipment is to be collected, packed away and returned to the storage containers at the DLRA camp
