IMPOUND MARSHALL

The impound is used to identify and isolate vehicles that have qualified for a record attempt.

It is the responsibility of the Impound Marshall to manage the Impound. They must be available to process entrants as they present at Impound.

For FIA and FIM record attempts (especially streamliners) impound may be located at either end of the course to remove or minimise transport time back to the pits where Impound would usually be located.
