START LINE WRANGLER

1.   Wranglers report to the Assistant Starter.
2.   Wranglers help set up the staging lanes with clear markings and signs for each line.
3.   Ensure entrants move up the queue in a timely manner.
4.   Maintain a friendly atmosphere in the staging lanes and keep all competitors informed of track status.
5.   Give vehicles a once over inspection to make sure they have all appropriate safety equipment and are not missing anything that will prevent them from running once they are at the start line.
6.   Wranglers should all wear the same uniforms and be clearly identified as DLRA officials.
7.   Wranglers working close to the start line will help the starter and assistant by making sure crews are getting entrants ready to race 2-3 cars back from the start line.
  a. This is an important function and the wranglers must be courteous but firm when working with 'late preparing' crews.  The starter or assistant must back up the wranglers in working to get vehicles ready to race at the appropriate position.
