CATEGORY REPRESENTATIVE MODULE - Level 1
The Category Representative is considered to be the definitive source of technical knowledge on their particular category.
There are categories for;
- Special Construction
- Vintage
- Classic
- Modified
- Production
- Diesel
- Ute & Pickup
- Motorcycle
The Category Representative must have a very good knowledge of the DLRA rulebook and an exceptional knowledge of the rules pertaining to the Category they represent. They must be able to determine by specification or inspection what are the attributes that a vehicle must include to be classified in a particular class.
Category Representatives may be called upon during Speed Week to adjudicate or interpret the rules as they apply to a vehicle in their category.
They may also be called upon during the year to provide advice and technical knowledge about their category to members during the construction of their vehicle.
Category Representatives will be nominated by the Technical Committee.
Prerequisite for this specialist module is completion of the General Official Module.
The Learning Objectives for this module are:
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of the DLRA Rulebook with particular emphasis upon their chosen Category and how the rules apply to classes within that category.
