DAILY RUN LOG
1. | A paper run log is kept as a back up to scoring computer failure or miss entered data. | |
2. | The run log consists of the following | |
a. | Starter or Start Line Assistant (staging lane) keeps a paper list of vehicle numbers that leave the start line and the time of day when they depart. | |
b. | The Course Control Assistant keeps a paper log of vehicle numbers as they leave the start line, speed through the measured mile of the respective course and time of day when the vehicle is on course. | |
c. | Those vehicles qualifying for impound are also noted in the log. | |
3. | These paper logs, especially the Race Control Tower log is an invaluable asset when correcting scoring errors or solving contestant complaints. Typically the Course Control Assistant keeps these logs. |
