TRACK ROVER

1.   The Track Rover should be an experienced person in land speed racing at Lake Gairdner.
2.   The Track Rover reports to the Race Director.
3.   The Track Rover typically is stationed down course a few miles and monitors or follows the high speed race vehicles to insure they exit and stop safely.
4.   The Track Rover is they eyes and ears of the Race Director at where the Race Control Tower does not have good visibility. The Track Rover will report any abnormalities to the Race Director or a safe stop /all OK.  Should a fire or other emergency occur out of eye-site of the Course Spotter or Race Control tower the Track Rover will be the first reporting station so rescue can be dispatched. 
5.   The Track Rover should have extra drinking water for entrants and appropriate fire extinguisher(s).

The Track Rover should communicate with rescue and ambulance on procedures if the Track Rover should arrive at an incident alone.
