INTRODUCTORY MODULE
GENERAL OFFICIAL - LV1
Targeted at officials who generally work alongside the competition track:
Start line Assistants, Timing Assistants, Inspection Assistants, Communication, Vehicle recovery, General track workers, Spectator Marshals, Observers, Equipment supply and maintainance , Competitor Relations, Environmental officer.
Prerequisite for this module is completion of the Introductory Module and issue of a DLRA Trainee Officials Licence.
The Learning Objectives for this module are:
- Identify the personal resources required to perform various DLRA event roles.
- Prepare for your officials duty.
- Apply communication techniques appropriate to the various roles of the General official in a team environment.
- Identify and apply track event specific rules and regulations.(Rulebook)
- Identify the duties of General Officials.
- Illustrate protocols for communicating within a land speed environment. (DLRA Structure)
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of radio etiquette techniques and hand signal techniques for DLRA events and demonstrated ability to apply them.
