Fuel Monitor

1. Description

  • Request number of drums of diesel / petrol to be taken to Speed Week.
  • Obtain, transport and supply of unleaded and 2 stroke fuel for DLRA vehicles, generators and blowers used in conducting Speed Week.
  • Obtain, transport and supply diesel for DLRA vehicles and fixed plant.
  • Control the issuing of fuel at Speed Week.
  • Maintain records as required.

2. Responsibility

  • Supply fuel to DLRA vehicles as required.
  • Refuel diesel generator as required during Speed Week.
  • Refuel tractor as required during Speed Week.
  • Deliver to Starters Van, Timing Van and Registration Van, enough fuel for the generator for a days running each day.
  • Monitor and refill blowers with 2 stroke fuel as required

     

    3. Duties

     

    3.1 Volunteer Instructions

    On the day of your duty, you report direct to Event Coordinator.

    Make sure you sign the Volunteers Book next to your name.

    The morning session is from 8.00am to about 12.00 noon.

    The afternoon session starts at about 1.00pm till 5.00pm or close of business on that day.

    You must be ready to start your shift at these times.

    Make sure you have a hat, sunglasses, sun cream, snacks. Water is provided from the esky at theRegistration Van and there are portable toilets through out the pits.

4. Tasks

4.1 Set Up

  • At the beginning of Speed Week collect all equipment from the storage containers from the fuel shed at the DLRA camp.
  • Refuel tractor as required
  • Refuel Club vehicles

 

4.2 During the event

  • Each morning check and refuel blowers and deliver fuel to starter and timers vans.
  • Each morning check and refuel diesel generator.
  • Refuel tractor as required
  • Refuel Club vehicles

 

4.3 Pack Up

At the conclusion of Speed Week all equipment is to be collected, packed away and returned to the fuel shed at the DLRA camp
