COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

1.   Communication Director will report to the Race Director
2.  

Communication Director will:

  a. Be responsible for the on and off season care and maintenance of the DLRA radio equipment.
  b Test all DLRA radios prior to an event.
  c. Develop a document chart of what positions get a radio and assign a name to each position for each event.  The Clerk of Course can provide an organization chart with staff names and positions
  d. Distribute radios to designated personnel at the event and have recipients sign for their radio(s)
  e. Manage radio battery charging at the event
  f. Set up the repeater and test its operation
  g. Troubleshoot the repeater as required
  h. Troubleshoot communication problems at the event
  i. Conduct radio procedures training for staff
  j. Collect the DLRA radio gear at the end of the event and take down the repeater gear as required
