  • Identify and apply land speed event specific National Competition Rules (NCRs) and regulations

Specialist EVENT Officials

 

CLERK OF COURSE MODULE

  • Apply communication techniques appropriate to the various roles within the event command team environment
  • Identify protocols for communicating within an event command environment
  • Describe the judicial process potentially flowing from a land speed event

 

EVENT ADMINISTRATION MODULE

  • Produce relevant documentation before, during and after the event
  • Apply Regulations and National Competition Rules (NCRs).
  • Demonstrate an understanding of competitor and officiating roles and requirements
  • Apply communication techniques appropriate to the various roles of a DLRA event in a team environment

 

TIMER MODULE

  • Operate timing equipment in a land speed environment
  • Present accurate and credible timing and scoring results
  • Identify and apply Regulations and National Competition Rules (NCRs)

 

STARTER MODULE

  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of Starting in a land speed environment
  • Apply communication techniques appropriate to the starter
  • Identify critical incident procedures and manage it in accordance with the stewards functions
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of radio etiquette techniques and hand signal techniques for DLRA events and demonstrated ability to apply them

 

INSPECTOR MODULE

  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of Scrutineering in a land speed environment
  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of the relevant Technical Regulations and National Competition Rules (NCRs)
  • Apply communication techniques appropriate to scrutineering within a land speed environment

 

RACE DIRECTOR MODULE

  • Identify relevant documentation before, during and after the event
  • Apply competitor and officiating requirements at DLRA events
  • Identify various roles of the Race Director at DLRA events.
  • Demonstrate judicial procedures at DLRA events

 

DLRA Accredited Testing Officer (DATO) MODULE

  • Create an awareness of the principles of the DLRA Anti-Doping Policy
  • How to follow the DLRA alcohol breath testing procedure
  • How to operate a Lion SD 400 Alcolmeter (breathalyser)
  • How to take a random sample from a subject
  • How to fill out the relevant paperwork

The participants of the DATO Training Module must hold a DLRA Accredited General Officials license to ensure a basic understanding of the structures and operational roles within motor-sport.

 

DLRA Safety 1st Representative MODULE

  • Apply safety procedures
  • Apply emergency procedures

 

CATEGORY REPRESENTATIVE MODULE

Comprehensive technical knowledge of the DLRA Rulebook with particular emphasis upon their chosen Category and how the rules apply to classes within that category.

 

EVENT REGISTRATION MODULE

COMPETITION ENTRY NUMBERS COORDINATOR MODULE

 

EVENT COORDINATOR MODULE

  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of Event coordination in a land speed environment

  • Apply communication techniques appropriate to the various roles of the Event Coordinator in a team environment
